Brief History:

The Al-Sheikh Salman Al Oudah Mosque in the town of Budaiya, Bahrain, is an impressive example of Islamic architecture. Built in 2011, the mosque was designed by prominent Bahraini architect, Mohammed Majed Slaman. It features a large central dome, two minarets, and intricately decorated exterior walls. Inside, the mosque can hold up to 1,000 worshippers. Its interior walls are decorated with Arabic calligraphy and geometric patterns. The central vaulted dome is also covered in these patterns. The interior also features a prayer hall, a marble mihrab, and Islamic benches for the worshippers. There is also a library and a special room for women and children. Outside, the mosque is surrounded by a spacious garden with trees, flowers, and seating areas. The most prominent feature of the exterior is its stunning pair of white marble minarets, which tower over the entire complex. To further emphasize the mosque’s importance, the nearby streets have been replaced with stone pathways leading to the main entrance gate. Al-Sheikh Salman Al Oudah Mosque is located in Isa Town, Bahrain. It is about a 15 minute drive from Manama, the capital of Bahrain. The exact address of the mosque is Ali Ibn Abi Taleb Street, Isa Town, Kingdom of Bahrain. Public transportation is available to reach the mosque. Buses run regularly from Manama to Isa Town. Alternatively, visitors can take a taxi from Manama to the mosque. Visitors should follow the rules of Islamic modesty while visiting the mosque. Women should wear loose-fitting clothing that covers their arms and legs, and must wear a headscarf. Men should wear loose-fitting clothing that covers their legs and arms.
