Brief History:
Al Qassar Mosque is an Islamic mosque in the city of Manama, Bahrain. The building is one of the oldest surviving mosques built in Bahrain and is considered one of the most important religious sites in the country. The mosque is named after the Islamic saint, Sheikh Mohammed Al Qassar, who was believed to be an ancestor of the Kuwaiti Royal Family. The mosque was built in the middle of the 19th century, during the reign of Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa. During this period, several other grand mosques were built in the city of Manama. The mosque was also the venue for many important ceremonies, such as the Nayma, or the A’isha weddings. Today, Al Qassar Mosque is considered as one of the most popular destinations for praying and religious events in Manama. The mosque is also known for its beautiful minarets and decorated dome. It is one of the most famous mosque in Bahrain which you must visit.

Al Qassar Mosque is located in Muharraq, Bahrain. The mosque was designed in the traditional Islamic architecture. The most notable feature of this mosque is the minaret, which is the tallest of its kind in the country at 83 meters. It is surrounded by a large courtyard and features ornate and intricate arches, domes and decorative details. The interior of the mosque is adorned with intricate murals and calligraphic art, and it can accommodate up to 2,500 worshippers. In addition, it has two courtyards, a library and a museum, containing artifacts from the Muharraq region's history. The mosque is a protected building and is considered one of Bahrain’s landmarks and an important part of the country’s cultural heritage. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
