Brief History:
Al-Haajer Mosque in Bahrain, also known as the Hajer Mosque, is a major religious site in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The mosque was built in the 15th century and is believed to be the first mosque to be built in Bahrain. The mosque is located in the old neighbourhood of Muharraq, not far from the modern-day King Fahd Causeway. The mosque is ornately decorated with blue, white and yellow tiles, and remains largely unchanged since the time of its construction. The interior of the mosque has been restored and contains paintings of religious figures. Al-Haajer Mosque is open to visitors of all religions and remains a popular site of worship among Bahrain locals and those visiting the island. Architecture:
Al-Haajer mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Bahrain and is located near the Royal Palace of Riffa and the National Museum. The mosque consists of a rectangular prayer hall with two minarets on either side, a central dome, and a balcony on the second story. The walls of the mosque are decorated with intricate geometric designs, and the ceiling is painted in a variety of colors including blue, green, yellow, and white. The floor of the mosque is decorated with intricate Islamic-style carpet patterns. The entrance of the mosque is flanked by an archway that is carved with a geometric pattern. The interior walls of the mosque are decorated with verses from the Quran. The mosque can accommodate up to 300 worshipers, and it is often used for prayers during Ramadan. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

The Al-Haajer Mosque is open for visitors on all days of the week from very early in the morning until later in the evening. The exact time for visits depend on the time of prayer. Travel Information:
The Al-Haajer Mosque is located in the city of Manama, Bahrain. It can be reached by car via the King Fahd Causeway or by public transportation. The closest major airport is the Bahrain International Airport, located 10 km away from the mosque. The Al-Haajer Mosque is considered one of the most important landmarks in Bahrain, as it was the first mosque to be built in the country. The mosque is constructed entirely of white marble and has a tall minaret, standing over 30 meters high. The mosque is open to visitors every day from 8 am to 11 pm. Visitors are requested to adhere to the dress code, which is long trousers and covered shoulders for men, and loose-fitting clothing that covers the entire body for women. Shoes must also be removed before entering the mosque. There are no admission fees for visiting the Al-Haajer Mosque, and cameras are allowed.
