: Al Thair Mosque in Bahrain is one of the oldest mosques in the country. It was built in the 13th century by the Sunni Uyunid Dynasty. Al Thair Mosque is known for its simple architecture and the minarets that reach up high above the building. It is also a popular tourist destination in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. The Al Thair Mosque is located in Muharraq, Bahrain, and is a national monument. The design of the mosque reflects traditional Arabic/Islamic architecture, with a central dome and four minarets. The building is made from white stone, with ornamental features of pink and yellow. The dome is made of traditional Bahraini blue and white striped tiles. Within the prayer hall, there is a carved ‘mihrab’ - a niche in the wall indicating the direction in which Mecca lies. The mosque also has stained glass windows, marble floors, and a large central chandelier. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

The closest bus stop is located on Al Farooq Street, approximately 600 meters away from the mosque. The most convenient way to get there is to take the number 11 bus from Sanabis which will drop passengers off just a few steps away from the mosque.
