Swarovski Kristallwelten (German for Crystal Worlds) is a museum in Wattens, Tirol, Austria. It was first opened in 1995, and is located adjacent to the Swarovski factory and company headquarters. It was created by the founder of Swarovski, Daniel Swarovski, as a way to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary. The museum is a testament to the history and artistry of the Swarovski company, as well as a place to learn about craftsmanship, crystal making and contemporary art. It includes several different attractions, such as the Chambers of Wonder, which feature crystal sculptures from around the world, a multi-media theatre, outdoor activity areas and a themed cafe. Over the years, the museum has grown in scope and popularity, attracting over 1.6 million visitors since opening in 1995. Events are regularly held at the museum, such as the Swarovski Christmas village and the annual Swarovski Kristallwelten Live Concerts.
