The temple follows agamic worship methodology which includes elaborate and regular nityarchana (daily prayers) performed by priests many hundreds of years ago. The daily rituals include four distinct worship rituals (pooj̣a): archana (chanting of prayers), abhishekam (bathing of the deity), alankara (decorative offering) and homam (fire offerings).
