Arulmigu Bala Subramanya Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple located in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Subramanya, son of Lord Shiva and Parvati, and is also known as Subramanya Swami. The temple follows the traditional Saivite worship system of rites and rituals and offers prayers to Lord Subramanya and his consorts Valli and Deivanai. Devotees usually start their visit with the 'Kalash Abishekam' – wherein pure cow's milk and other ingredients such as panchamrutam are poured over the murti – and then offer flowers, fruits, and other ingredients as naivedyam. The murti is then adorned with new clothing and jewelry. The temple includes a 'pradhishta mandapam' (altar area), where the main deity is enshrined.
