The Adi Jagannatha Perumal Temple in Thirupullani, Tamil Nadu, is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Worship in the temple follows the traditional South Indian style of puja. The morning ritual begins with the "Suprabhuta puja", during which the processional idol of the deity is adorned with flowers and mango leaves. After this, the priests perform spiritual chants while offering flowers and grains to the idol. This is followed by the "Yajna Pooja", in which offerings of ghee, oil, and sandalwood are made. The evening puja in the temple begins with the "Raja Deepam" or lighting of an oil lamp, which symbolizes the divine presence of Lord Vishnu. After this, the devotees offer flowers and pray to Lord Vishnu for his grace. This is followed by the "Chaturvind"or fourfold puja, which consists of worshipping Shankhu (the conch), Chakra (the discus), Gada (the club) and Padam (the lotus) – the divine weapons of Lord Vishnu.
