The worship method of Sripuram Golden Temple is in accordance with Saiva-Agama rituals of Tamil Nadu. Worship involves: 1. Puja or worship with mantras, flowers and medicinal herbs. 2. Visaranai and kappu (special prayers). 3. Abhishekam or bathing the deity with the prescribed amount of water, sandalwood paste, kumkum, holy ash, milk etc. 4. Archana or chanting mantras for each Avinasi. 5. Dhoopa Deepa Naivedya - offering of specially prepared incense, lights and food to the deity. 6. Circumambulating God and chanting mantras. 7.
