The Thirunallar Temple in Karaikal, Tamil Nadu, is renowned for its daily poojas, which are conducted in accordance with the ancient Pancharatra Agama. The temple follows a very strict schedule for its various rituals, which includes various vedic mantras, Ganapati Homa, Abhishekams and more. The morning poojas begin with Suprabhatham, a Vedic prayer chanted at sunrise. This is then followed by Panchabhoota Abhishekam, where water from five holy rivers is poured on the Lord Shanmukha (Lord Shiva).
