Brief History:

Masjid al-Nur is a mosque located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, that has been in existence since the 12th century. It is one of the oldest mosques in the country and consists of three courtyards with minarets, an open area for prayers, and a prayer area with a mihrab. It is known for its traditional architecture and intricate mosaic artwork, which has been there since the 12th century. The mosque has also recently undergone renovation and expansion, and now includes modern facilities such as an amphitheater, a library for studying Islamic history and culture, and a women’s corner. It is one of the most famous mosque in Saudi-Arabia which you must visit.

Architecture:

The architecture of Masjid Al-Nur in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is quite impressive. The large mosque has a rectangular shape with a massive white marble exterior. The interior is a mix of traditional Middle Eastern and modern design. The mosque has four minarets, each approximately 57 meters tall, and features a stunning chandelier in the center of the main prayer hall. The interior walls are covered in intricate marble designs, and the roof is supported by eight columns that visually tie together the two halves of the mosque. There is also a separate prayer hall dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad. There is an extensive library adjacent to the main prayer hall, and several classrooms and study centers located in other areas of the mosque. The mosque also features a central courtyard, which is used for social gatherings and religious events. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
