The main building is surrounded by an open courtyard, while the hall on the left is an attached prayer hall. The mosque is covered in intricate calligraphy in the Kufic style, and the interior walls are decorated with ornate geometric designs. The minarets are constructed in green and white marble, and the main building has a large sahn-e-noor, or courtyard, which houses a large marble fountain. The entrance to the mosque is carved in the shape of a mihrab, or a gate that points the direction of prayer (Mecca). The dome on the left is the largest, and it is capped with a crescent moon which serves as a symbol of the Islamic faith. The interior of the mosque is decorated with tiled floors and a chandelier hangs from the center of the hall. Natural light is made use of in the form of clerestory windows atop the minarets.
