Brief History:
Al Rumaylah North East Mosque is located in the Governorate of Muscat, Oman. It was built more than 40 years ago and is one of the oldest mosques in the country, being constructed shortly after the Sultanate of Oman was founded in the early 1970s. The mosque has a traditional Moorish design, with a simple white brick façade decorated with a few balconies and open arches. The main prayer hall is large enough to hold more than 1,000 worshippers. The mosque also features a variety of gardens and walkways, as well as a separate area for women to perform their prayers. The mosque is regarded as a symbol of Islamic culture and continues to be one of the most popular destinations for tourists and locals alike. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Al Rumaylah North East Mosque is located in the Dhofar Governorate, in the south of Oman. The mosque is of a typically Omani design relying heavily on mosques of the Arabian peninsula and other Islamic traditions related to mosques. The mosque has a simple design with a main prayer hall and five adjoining chambers. The mihrab, the niche indicating the qiblah, is located at the end of each chamber. The mosque is built of coral stone and decorated with a range of colourful tiles. The dome is supported by four pointed arches. The minaret is two stories, decorated with stripes. Inside the mosque, Islamic motifs and calligraphy adorn the walls and pillars. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Visiting Hours:
Al Rumaylah North East Mosque in Oman is open to visitors every day from 3PM-11PM. Visitors must wear appropriate attire at all times. Strict Islamic rules must be followed when visiting the mosque. best mosque in the world.

Al Rumaylah North East Mosque is located in the Muscat Governorate of Oman on Street 22. The nearest airport is Muscat International Airport which is approximately 45 minutes away by car. Bus route 156 and route 344 travel to Al Rumaylah North East Mosque from the airport. A taxi can also be taken to the mosque for a cost of 30 OR. beautiful masjid.
