Brief History:
Al Jifnain North East Mosque is located in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. The mosque was built in 1294 AH (1877/78 AD) by Sayyid Jifnain Al Jifnain, the Chief Justice and one of the Omani noblemen who was a well-respected judge and leader of the Omani government. The mosque is a very important historical Islamic site for the people of Oman and holds a special place in the hearts of all Omanis. The mosque has been considered as the first big mosque built in Muscat for more than 10 centuries. The mosque also has a unique garden that was designed and developed in the form of palm-tree and with small pools and waterfalls. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

The Al Jifnain North East Mosque is a historical place of worship located in Muscat, Oman. It is a part of the larger Al Jifnain complex, which includes the castle, the fort, and the mosque itself. The mosque is an example of traditional Omani architecture and features many distinct Islamic elements. The mosque’s majestic minarets and its pointed domes give it an almost fairy-tale-like grandeur that has made it a popular tourist attraction in Muscat. Inside, the mosque spans three circular levels and is divided into four V-shaped quadrants. The ceilings are pointed and domed and the mosque is decorated with symbolic Islamic art and geometric patterns throughout. A central courtyard provides ventilation and plenty of natural light throughout the prayer hall. The mosque is built from arid yellow stone blocks and has many distinct features, such as lattice windows and intricately carved doors. The grand entrance of the mosque is complemented by a large patio and fountain. The most striking feature of the mosque is its large minaret, which stands more than 100 feet tall. It was built in the 18th century, and is still in use today! This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
