Brief History:
: Al Ansab West Central North Mosque was built in 1980 in the city of Muscat, Oman. Its structure is unique and resembles a 12th century Arabian Haram. It has two minarets and a single central dome. The dome stands 21 meters high and is made from fine white marble and sandstone. The mosque is richly adorned with Islamic calligraphy, geometric and floral designs, and intricate glazed tilework. It is one of the most visited religious sites in Oman and is particularly popular among pilgrims from other parts of the world. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
Architecture:
Al Ansab West Central North Mosque is a modern Islamic mosque located in Muscat, Oman. The building has been designed by local architect Mohammed Al Moosawi, and features a blend of traditional and modern Islamic architectural styles. The building has two parts, the Prayer hall and the main building, which are connected by a large open-air courtyard. The Prayer hall has twin minarets with four sculpted panels on either side and a hexagonal-shaped dome at the top. The hall can accommodate around 1,000 worshippers. The main building has various side rooms, offices, and a reception hall for visitors. It is built with a combination of white and yellow limestone as well as glass and steel. The main entrance features a large stone archway with Arabic inscriptions, which convey a sense of spirituality to visitors. The building is decorated with various decorative elements such as traditional Islamic patterns, which give the mosque a unique look. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

The best way of getting to the Al Ansab West Central North Mosque in Oman is by car. The mosque is located just off the Muscat Expressway in the Ansab neighborhood of Muscat City. It is about eight kilometers from the center of Muscat City and is easy to access from the expressway. You can also take a taxi or local bus to get to the mosque.
