Brief History:

The mosque consists of two domes, one large and one small. Its interior includes a mihrab and a maksura. The mosque was renovated in 1988 and is still open for daily prayers. The Al Manuma South Central East North Mosque in Oman is a large and iconic religious building. It is a modern structure constructed of concrete and steel with a white and grey granite exterior. The main entrance leads into a spacious lobby which sets the tone for the interior. The interior of the mosque is decorated in intricate Islamic-style arches and columns that adorn the walls and ceilings. The flooring is of white marble tiles. An intricately-carved minaret stands at the northwest corner of the mosque. The mihrab, a niche located in the east wall of the mosque, serves as a focal point for a congregation to pray in the direction of Mecca. The mosque also contains multiple restrooms and changing rooms. The open courtyard serves as a gathering place for visitors, as well as providing access to the prayer hall. Finally, the main room is used for Friday prayers. The walls are adorned with several finely-crafted tapestries and Islamic art. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

The opening times of the Al Manuma South Central East North Mosque in Muscat, Oman, vary depending on the season. Generally, the visiting hours are from 8AM to 8PM during the summer months, and from 6AM to 8PM during the winter months.
