St Michael's Chapel, Mqabba is a Roman Catholic chapel located in the village of Mqabba in Malta. It is dedicated to Archangel Michael. This chapel serves the community of Mqabba and its parish is part of the Archdiocese of Malta. The chapel was constructed in 1655, as recorded in the parish archives and is listed on the National Inventory of the Cultural Property of the Maltese Islands. It is one of the best churches in Malta which you must visit.

History:

The chapel was founded in 1655, but was granted a larger plot of land in 1663. The present building was restored in 1797 and is highly ornate. It was built in the Baroque style and contains an altar dedicated to St Michael, as well as four side altars dedicated to St Anthony, St Nicholas, St Peter and Paul and Our Lady of Mount Carmel. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Malta.
