Church of Our Lady of Sorrows is a Roman Catholic church located in the borough of Queens in New York City. Its history dates back to the late 19th century, when the foundation was laid for what would become the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows. The original stately manse-style building was destroyed by fire but rebuilt and consecrated in 1900. It has been a source of spiritual nourishment and comfort to the surrounding community since that time, evolving to meet the changing needs of its members. History:

The first services at the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows were held in November of 1893. The manse-style church was designed by noted architectural firm, McKenzie, Van Kleek & Todd, and constructed at the cost of $14,000. The church was dedicated with impressive ceremony on June 11, 1895. In 1899, the original building was destroyed by fire, and the cornerstone for the new building was laid in June of 1900. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Malta.
