Sannat Parish Church is a small Roman Catholic Church located within the village limits of Sannat in Gozo, Malta. The church was designed by Steffano Ittar and first opened in 1602. The Church enjoys a rich history and has undergone extensive redevelopment and restoration works over the years. It is often considered to be the highlight of Gozo's religious architecture, and is surrounded by picturesque views.

History:
The parish of Sannat was officially established in 1602 and the main dedication of the Church is to the Nativity of Our Lady. We can roughly assume that the foundation of the church was built in 11 September 1602; however, the exact date of construction is still unknown. The central dome of the church was lower than the present one and part of the church was covered with a barrel vault, heptagonal in plan. In 1666 the church was particularly damaged by what was believed to be an earthquake, and so restoration works were carried out. The main façade was built in 1730 following a local baroque style, together with the niches and portals at the right corner. During the 19th century, several restorations were carried out to the church and the bell tower. Sannat Parish Church This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Malta.
