According to legend, Al-Beidha was founded by a group of Bedouin nomads from the region of Najran. It was initially used as a stopping point for caravans travelling to and from Mecca. Over time, Al-Beidha flourished as a major trading center for incense, goldsmithing, jewelry, and spices.
