Overview:
The tombs of Bade-Khan, and Mubarakpur Kotla, Kotla are located in the Punjab province of Pakistan and are of immense historical significance. These two mausoleums were built under the rule of Aurangzeb and are of great architectural and cultural importance. The tombs are not only a beautiful example of history but also a testament to the glory days of the Mughal Empire. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The most prominent feature of the two tombs is the stunning architecture. The tombs were designed by Mughal architects and are a stunning example of Mughal architecture. The two mausoleums are made of white marble and are decorated with intricate carvings and Jaali screens. Inside, the tombs have a raised marble platform and a marble dome with a beautiful 12-petal design. There are also four cenotaphs erected over the tombs, each with a ‘chader’ (circular canopy) of green coloured marble. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour

The tombs of Bade-Khan, and Mubarakpur Kotla, Kotla were constructed under the rule of Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb. It was initially built for one of Aurangzeb's sons, Mirza Bade Khan, and his son, Mirza Mubarak Khan. The tombs are believed to have been built around 1687. Later, the mausoleums were refurbished several times and even damaged by floods. In 1984, the Government of Pakistan declared the tombs as a heritage monument and since then they have been maintained by the local government.
