Overview:
deshvara Temple is a Hindu temple located in the village of Uttan in Maharashtra. The temple is dedicated to the god Shiva. It is believed to have been built in the 11th century, during the reign of the Kalachuri dynasty in India. The temple is noted for its intricate carvings and sculptures. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Bherundeshvara Temple is known for its distinctive architecture and intricate sculptures. The temple is constructed out of black stone, and stands at a height of around 37 feet. The main shrine of Bherundeshvara Temple is in the shape of a shikara, a stepped pyramid structure. The temple has four entrances and four pillars representing the four Vedas. The pillars have detailed carvings of scenes from the Ramayana, Mahabharata and the Puranas. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
