Overview:
The temple complex is a series of temples, the main temple being dedicated to Lord Shiva. It has been constructed in the style of north Indian Nagara temples. It is surrounded by two walls and has two gateways, one facing east and the other facing west. The temple was built by the rulers of the former princely state of Maihar. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The main temple is divided into two parts – one part is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the other part to the Goddess Parvati. The temple is also known for its amazing architectural elements such as the beautiful stone carving and the tall towers.
