Sikargah Kushak-II -327 In India: History,Facts, & Services
Overview:
ah Kushak-II -327 is an historic ancient mound in the province of Khuzestan, Iran. The site consists mainly of an artificial mound (tell) covering an area of about 3 hectares and surrounded by a wall. Excavations into Sikargah Kushak-II -327 have revealed a large quantity of artifacts ranging from the Proto-Elamite to the Islamic periods, testifying to the site's long and rich history. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The most notable feature of Sikargah Kushak-II -327 is the vast number of jars, remains and structures associated with the Proto-Elamite culture. The periodic pottery found here is mainly Middle and Late Elamite. There have also been a number of metal objects, animal and bird bone carvings, bone tools and tools made of stone, clay and metal as well as some glazed artifacts and other sealed clay or metal items.
