mb Mosque of Murshid Quli Khan is a historical Mughal-era mosque, located in the city of Bakhal in the state of Murshidabad, India. Built in 1723, at the behest of Murshid Quli Khan, the mosque was intended as a monument dedicated to the memory of the Mughal emperor who reigned over the province of Bengal at the time. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The tomb mosque is constructed in traditional Mughal architecture and features a single-dome structure with octagonal turrets and a central arched gate. The perimeter of the mosque is surrounded by a surrounding enclosure which is further decorated with glazed tiles and intricate carvings.
