Shamshkhan's Mosque, Vallapuram is a beautiful masjid located in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. Built in the early 1800s, the mosque is named after the ruler of Travancore at the time, Swaroopam Maharaja Marthandavarma. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:

The mosque has no minarets, instead it has gopurams, which are gatekeepers of the temple. The mosque also houses a rare library, where more than seven thousand books can be found. This mosque also houses a Madrasa where children come to learn Islamic teachings.
