Shahi Masjid, Cuttack is one of the oldest and most important religious monuments of the state of Odisha, India. It is a grand mosque that was originally built in the 17th century by the Mughal ruler, Aurangzeb and later rebuilt by the Nawab of Bengal, Shuja-ud-daulah in the 18th century. The mosque is one of the largest and most impressive in India, and is a popular site for religious observances. The interior of the mosque is decorated with intricate designs and panels depicting the holy places of the Islamic faith. It has four towering minarets and an imposing facade, and its panoramic view of the nearby Cuttack Lake is quite captivating. The Shahi Masjid, Cuttack, is a grand monument built during the 16th century by the Mughal ruler Islam Shah Suri. The mosque is spread over an area of three acres and comprises a large courtyard, two minarets and a huge main hall. The mosque is built in typical Mughal architecture, with white marble slabs, arches, domes and finials. The mosque has four domes—two on top of the hall, one on each minaret, and two on the two side wings. The elaborate arches and seven-arched gateways lead into the large central hall. The two large minarets, at the eastern and western corners, are the most impressive feature of the mosque. The mosque also has two side wings for holding prayers in larger congregations. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

It was built in 1640 by the last Qutb Shahi Emperor Abdullah Qutab Shah, when he ascended to the throne of Cuttack. The majestic building stands in the middle of an octagonal courtyard with a dome, four minarets and beautiful engravings on the walls. The nearest airport to Shahi Masjid is Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneshwar, which is around 50 kilometres away. The nearest railway station is Cuttack Railway Station, which is located approximately 2 kilometres away. Visitors can take a rickshaw or taxi from the railway station to reach the mosque.
