Architecture:

The Shahi Masjid of Amritsar is a traditional Indian mosque designed in the Mughal style of architecture. It consists of a large central dome with two minarets at the façade of the entrance. The entrance gate is also of the Mughal style, featuring intricate carvings and tracery. The mosque also has sandstone inlay in the form of geometric and floral patterns. The interior of the mosque has stained glass windows depicting Islamic architecture and calligraphy. The prayer hall consists of four bays separated by columns, with a large white marble mihrab in the centre. Marble screens are provided over the prayer hall to divide the prayer hall into two parts, a larger area for men and a smaller one for women. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
