: Panja Sharif is an eminent Dargah situated in the city of Amroha in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is a dargah of the renowned and divine saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, popularly known as Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Ajmeri. It is believed that the shrine was built by Hazrat Sheikh Syed Shah Jamal Makhdum after he arrived in Amroha from Baghdad in the 14th century. It is considered one of the oldest structures in Amroha and is said to be over five centuries old. The architecture of the Panja Sharif Dargah is a combination of Islamic and Hindu elements. The shrine is a two-storey structure made of beautiful red sandstone and white marble. The entrance is an arched door with ornamental carving that looks the symbol of Allah ʼs eternity. At the top of the gate is a niche with an iznik tile depicting the Punjabi script, which translates to "Allah is the only guide to happiness". Inside the shrine, there is an ornately decorated central chamber that houses the grave of Hazrat Sheikh Syed Shah Jamal Makhdum. Beautiful qawwali music is regularly played inside the central chamber and outside in the wide courtyard of the shrine. The walls of the shrine are decorated with intricate carvings and calligraphy, which depicts verses from the Quran. Above the entrance gate is a brass chhatri covered with a beautiful green cloth. The exterior of the shrine is surrounded by a spacious garden full of flowers and trees with a large marble fountain at the center.
