is a 400-year-old mosque located in the old city of Hyderabad. It is one of the oldest and largest mosques in India. It was built by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the fifth ruler of the Qutub Shahi dynasty in 1617. The mosque is named after the holy city of Mecca (in present day Saudi Arabia). The mosque has a symmetrical architecture and is located near the Chowmahalla Palace. The mosque is made of granite, and has a large central hall supported by 15 arches. The four majestic arches on the main hall are believed to have been made from the stones of the original temple. The ceiling of the hall is decorated with intricate and intricate floral designs. The high ceiling is designed in a traditional Islamic style with corner domes supported by numerous pillars of polished, shining black rocks. The vast open enclosure and the larger courtyard occupied by the mosque are crossed by two small streams of water, which further accentuate its mesmerizing beauty. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
