Lal Bungalow is a colonial-style bungalow located in the tourist town of Jalgaon in Maharashtra, India. It is said to be the house of the first Indian governor of the area during the British Raj. The bungalow is a prime tourist attraction in Jalgaon and is known for its tastefully decorated interiors. History:
The bungalow has a distinctive exterior made up of two stories. The lower floor features a ganga jahalam (turquoise blue shutters) in the center of the façade and two Bhoodiraj (quicklime arches) on the sides. The upper storey boasts of intricate Rajputana stonework on the entrance door. The main highlight of the bungalow is the central living room which has a Rajasthani theme.
