Kamsa) Fort is a fort located in the small town of Kasa in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India. It was built by the British in the late 19th century as a defensive stronghold against the Maratha fleets. The fort is located on an elevated peak in the town and has remained largely intact since its construction. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.

History:

The Kasa Fort has two main gates with a stone wall and bastions at each of the four corners. The fort is built using laterite stones, and the fort’s entrance has a remarkable arch made of basalt blocks.
