Jama Masjid, Rajkot is one of the oldest and largest mosques in India, located in Rajkot city of Gujarat. It was built in 1620, by Muhmood Begada, the ruler of Gujarat at the time. The mosque has two minarets and an impressive dome, and is visited by thousands of people during the holy month of Ramadan. The mosque also hosts various events throughout the year and is a popular tourist destination in Rajkot. It is one of the most famous mosque in India which you must visit.

Architecture:

The Jama Masjid of Rajkot is a beautiful mosque built during the reign of Sultan Muzaffar Shah III in 1678 AD. The mosque is known for its grand entrance and has a terracotta-columned pavilion at its entrance depicting its Indo-Islamic style. The mosque has a typical form of a single-aisled prayer hall with two cusped arches and a floral motif on the ceiling. The interiors are decorated with colorful tiles and intricate stucco work and have five mihrabs. The mosque is dotted with four domes, two in the center and one each at the east and west direction. The Mosque has two splendid minarets and an octagonal fountain in the courtyard. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
