Overview:
ri Temple is an ancient temple located in Kurnool district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is dedicated to the Lord Venkateshwara or Lord Vishnu, one of the main Gods of Hinduism. The Gudiyari Temple is said to be one of the ancient five Pancha Narayan temples located in the region. The temple is believed to be built by the Chola dynasty in around 11th century. Gudiyari Temple This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Gudiyari Temple has some unique features which make it stand out. Its structure is such that it has the appearance of a chariot. The inner shrine is fan-shaped, with several carved stone pillars. The ceilings of the temple are adorned with several carvings, depicting stories from the Puranas. The entire temple complex is surrounded by tall walls and lush green gardens.
