f Mubarik in Mubarakpur, Kotla is a 7th century tomb belonging to the Sufi saint, Syed Mubarik, located in the small village of Mubarakpur in Kotla of Punjab, India. The tomb is an octagonal structure built with blue-green bricks, topped with a conical dome. Also known as ‘Darbar of Mian Mubarak’, the shrine has a beautiful entrance gate and is visited by thousands of devotees every year. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The prominent features of the Tomb of Mubarik in Mubarakpur, Kotla include a single octagonal structure with a blue-green brick base topped by a conical dome. It also has a beautiful entrance gate decorated with intricate mosaics and an array of arches, columns and traditional balustrades. The main complex is covered with blue-green marble tiles and tall minarets crowned the shrine. The internal floor of the Tomb is further adorned with intricate reliefs, colorful patterns, and enchanting paintings. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour

According to legend, a bowl full of sand gathered by Syed Mubarik was blessed and turned into a beautiful marble structure. Despite several repairs and renovations over time, the original octagonal structure still stands solemnly untouched.
