Sikh War Memorial, Sabhraon is a war memorial located in the Sabhraon village of Ludhiana district. It was built to commemorate the battles fought between the British-Indian forces and the Sikh army led by Maharaja Ranjit Singh's son Maharaja Kharak Singh. The memorial is situated on the banks of Budha Nullah and is spread over an area of 75 acres. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The memorial consists of a large bronze statue which depicts the respective British-Indian and Sikh armies engaged in an epic battle. The Memorial also has a museum and a library to give visitors a deeper understanding of the war and the events that led to it. There are many sculptures and exhibits that tell the story of the battle, in addition to a number of plaques that commemorate the brave warriors and their achievements.
