-The Church of God was officially founded on February 13, 1966 in Nadi, Fiji when the first church meeting was held and the Constitution of the Church of God was officially adopted. -From this small beginning, the church grew rapidly and expanded rapidly to cities, towns and villages all over Fiji. By 1971, over 2,000 people were coming to the Church of God services and have since reached numbers beyond 10,000. -In 1975, the Church of God became the first charismatic church to be formally recognised by the Fiji government. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Fiji.
