Lomawai Methodist Church is a Methodist church located in Lomawai, Hawaii. It is a member of the United Methodist Church's Hawaii Annual Conference. The church was founded in 1940 and has since grown to a congregation of around 80 members. It is one of the best churches in Fiji which you must visit.

History:

The Lomawai Methodist Church was founded in 1940 by Reverend Henry Kaopuiki and local plantation workers who had moved to the area. The inaugural service of the church was held on Easter of 1941. In the years following, the church experienced growth in members and participation and the original building eventually had to be replaced due to its small size. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Fiji.

The current church building, a two-story building, was dedicated in 1973. Rev. John Victorina was the pastor at the time it was dedicated. Today, the church includes a fellowship hall, kitchen, and nursery.
Services:

Services at Lomawai Methodist church are held every Sunday from 8-10am with Sunday School from 10-11am. Services include Scripture readings, hymns, and a sermon from the pastor. Special events are held throughout the year, such as Vacation Bible School for children and fellowship dinners for the whole congregation.This beautiful church in Fiji has made a lot of significance in the past.
