Chapel of the Wounded Jesus is a Catholic Church located in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Built in 1918, it is the oldest continuously active parish in San Antonio. The church has been called "the heart of downtown San Antonio" and has served as an important landmark, as well as an inspiration to the city's citizens. The parish was founded in response to a request from a priest, Father José J. Gúzman, who was sent to San Antonio to care for the spiritual needs of its Spanish-speaking citizens. History:

The church was originally built on a large site of land donated by local ranchers and has seen many changes throughout its lifetime. The original building was rebuilt in 1933 to a larger size and was eventually renamed Chapel of the Wounded Jesus in 1950. In 2021, the chapel underwent extensive renovation to restore it to its former glory and a large renovation is currently underway to restore the original grounds.
