History:

The Nevado Sajama is located in southwestern Bolivia and is the highest mountain in the Cordillera Occidental mountain range. It has an elevation of 6,542 metres (21,463 ft) above sea level. The mountain is located within Sajama National Park, which was established in 1939 and is the oldest official protected area in Bolivia.
