The Bhola Shahi Jame Mosque is a historic mosque located in Bhola, Bangladesh. It is believed to have been built in 1559, during the reign of Sultan Hussain Shah, when the area was a part of Bengal Sultanate. The mosque is an example of Indo-Islamic architecture with elements of Bengal Sultanate, the Mughal Empire and the British Raj. The mosque’s main building is a large square structure with a large plastered surface of its walls. The eastern wall of the building contains three mihrabs. The walls of the mosque are decorated with terracotta tiles. In the interior, the structure is divided into three sections, each containing five bays. The mosque also has a large prayer hall, three-story galleries and staircases on its northern and southern sides. The main hall is surmounted by a dome in the central area and there are smaller domed cupolas on each side of it. The mosque also has a total of five small minarets of square shape. The roof of the mosque is of typical Bengali-style curved shape. The overall shape of the mosque resembles a Bengali hut.
