The minarets of the mosque are of a different design than the conventional four-sided minarets, and the domes are covered with a gilded hexagonal roof. The central mihrab is surrounded by four other aisles, which are decorated with fresco paintings and elaborate carvings. The prayer hall also has a three-storey extension known as the Shab-i-Juma.
