It is a three-domed structure with four small turrets and has a large rectangular prayer hall surrounded by rectangular corridors. Baitul Falah Jame Mosque is a centuries-old mosque located in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The mosque, built in the Mughal style of architecture, is noted for its unique blend of Persian, Turkish and Bengali features. The main mosque measures 375 feet in length by 46 feet in breadth, and the wide courtyard of the mosque can hold up to 200 people. The mosque has two main entrances: one facing east and the other facing west. The external facade of the mosque is adorned with intricate designs and motifs which reflect the historical and religious heritage of Bangladesh. The minarets of the mosque are of a different design than the conventional four-sided minarets, and the domes are covered with a gilded hexagonal roof. The interior of the mosque consists of a large prayer hall, which is lined with intricate calligraphy and is surrounded by five spacious aisles. The central mihrab is surrounded by four other aisles, which are decorated with fresco paintings and elaborate carvings. The prayer hall also has a three-storey extension known as the Shab-i-Juma. This part of the mosque is open for the public on Fridays and Saturdays, and is used for special festive occasions. The Shab-i-Juma has its own minarets, and is enclosed by high walls at the north and east side. The mosque also contains several burial chambers of noted Islamic scholars.
