The Al-Fadhel Mosque is located in the district of Farid Al-Maween in the city of Manama, Bahrain. It is one of Bahrain’s most important religious and historical sites and is a popular tourist attraction. The mosque was built in the 16th century and is one of the oldest mosques in Bahrain. It is believed to have been built by the Imam of Bahrain, Fadhel bin Ahmed Al-Khalfan, who was a famous ruler of the country. The mosque is characterized by its large domes and minarets, which are typical of Bahraini architecture of the time. The Al-Fadhel Mosque is open to visitors seven days a week and visitors can either enter through the main entrance or from the back. Visitors must cover their arms, legs and heads when entering the mosque. There is no charge for visiting the Al-Fadhel Mosque, though donations are accepted. The mosque also has a number of amenities including a prayer hall, ablution area and a library. The library contains various books on Islamic History, Theology and Jurisprudence in addition to audio-visual materials. The Al-Fadhel Mosque is located at 8 Al Aldai St, Farid Al-Maween, Manama, Bahrain. It is easily accessible by car or taxi, as it is located near the Bahrain International Airport.
