History:

Tufandag Winter-Summer Mountain Resort is the largest mountain resort located in Gabala, Azerbaijan. It was built in 1998 and opened that same year with eight ski slopes, three cable cars, and a wide variety of leisure activities. The resort is named after the Tufandag mountain range which, at its highest point, reaches an elevation of 2411 meters above sea level. The main goal of the resort was to provide modern tourist infrastructure to attract domestic and international travelers to the region. Since its opening, Tufandag has been a popular destination and continues to attract visitors with its impressive mountain scenery, diverse winter and summer activities, and comfortable accommodation. In the winter, visitors can hit the slopes with the resort's nine ski runs and six ski lifts. It also boasts two snow parks with a variety of obstacles and pistes, ideal for younger skiers and snowboarders. The summer offers a variety of activities as well, such as horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, ziplining, and mountain safaris.
