The Teze Pir Mosque is a medieval mosque located in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan. The mosque was built sometime between the 16th and 17th centuries and is one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city. The mosque is made up of two distinct parts: the portal located on the street side and the interior prayer hall. The exterior of the mosque is constructed of reddish-brown brick and a modestly proportioned entrance portal, typical of this region. This portal is flat and unadorned, symmetrically filled in with stone blocks of alternating white and black lines, and no other decorative elements. Above the entrance is a large inscription carved in bas relief carving. Inside the portal are two minarets, and in front of the mosque itself are three more small minarets set in the ground. The interior of the prayer hall is rectangular and is constructed of red bricks, purely decorated with stone columns and arcades. Lighting comes in through the numerous punched windows, while a single dome sits at the center of the prayer hall. The interior walls are lined with figures of the prophets and other religious symbols, and it is believed that this is the only building in the city with such proportions and decoration.
