Vienna English-speaking Catholic Community In Austria: History,Facts, & Services

The Vienna English-speaking Catholic Community (VESCC) is a Christian community which provides spiritual and religious support to English-speaking Catholics in the Vienna area. It was established in 1999 by Fr. John Leonard, SJ and his wife, Anne. The VESCC has grown from a small prayer group to a vibrant faith-filled community offering a wide range of spiritual and social activities. VESCC services are centred around Mass, scripture readings, prayers and other activities which bring members of the community together for spiritual and social support. The VESCC also provides outreach to non-liturgical events such as seminars, concerts and educational material. VESCC has become a cornerstone for the Catholic community in Vienna and is integral for providing an environment where relationships can form, spiritual and mental nourishment can be found and Catholics from around the world can gather.
