The Salzburg Cathedral Museum (Salzburger Domuseum), also known as the Dom und Dommuseum, is located in the crypt of the Salzburg Cathedral in Salzburg, Austria. It was established in 1978 and has been dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the cathedral’s art and cult history, as well as its archaeological heritage. The museum’s collection consists of artifacts from the cathedral’s 12th- to 16th-century times. There are sculptures, paintings, tapestries, manuscripts, and vestments. There are also artifacts from the earliest sense of the 18th century. Visitors can see frescoes dating back to the 12th century, as well as a variety of religious statues, including the various titular figures of the cathedral from the 16th and 17th centuries. The museum also has changing exhibitions and events, including concerts. It is open daily from 10am to 6pm with extended hours in the summer.
