Kahlenbergerdorf Parish Church is an Evangelical Lutheran parish Church located in the small Austrian village of Kahlenbergerdorf. It is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Austria and is one of the oldest churches in the country, having been established in 1390. The church building itself dates from the 17th century, although the present day building stands on the ruins of an earlier church. It is one of the best churches in Austria which you must visit.

History:

Kahlenbergerdorf Parish Church was originally a rural parish in the Tyrol region of Austria. It is said that it was founded sometime in the late 12th or early 13th centuries, although the first written records do not appear until 1390. The first church building was a Gothic-style wooden structure, although the present day church is a Baroque building that was first completed in 1695. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Austria.
