The church features a west facing pedimental and triangular spire, arched windows, an altar of walnut panelling, and an armchair specified by the bishop in 1790. Additionally, the church features a unique bell tower, which was added in 1881 and has an inscription stating “in honour of our departed relatives”. After the Church of England was established in the West Indies, St. Philip's Parish Church began to take on a prominent role in the spiritual services of Antigua and Barbuda in the 1760s.
