is a small at the crest of the Saqqara necropolis in Egypt located near the pyramid of Pepi I. It was constructed during the 5th dynasty reign of Pharaoh Pepi I in the mid-25th century BCE. The pyramid is comprised of six steps, reaching a height of about 69 ft (21 m) and a base of 92 ft (28 m). It is built out of limestone masonry and is aligned toward the north-northeast. The interior of the pyramid contains a burial shaft on the north side and an entrance hall on the south side. The entrance is beautifully decorated with several colors of reliefs. The tomb of Neith is located in a subterranean chamber which was opened by Professor Jacques de Morgan in 1893. It consists of four rooms arranged perpendicular to one another, with the northern room containing the sarcophagus of Neith. The artifacts recovered from the tomb include ceramic tiles, vessels, jewelry, cosmetic items, and offering dishes. It is one of the most beautiful monuments in Egypt

History:

The pyramid of Neith, the mother of Pepi I, is located in Saqqara, the necropolis of ancient Memphis. This pyramid was discovered in the 19th century by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette, and is believed to have been built during the 6th dynasty, likely under the supervision of Neith's son Pepi I. The original construction of the pyramid, which is not visible today, was over 48 meters in height and had three stepped tiers. The outer walls were formed from limestone and were covered by a layer of clay to protect them from erosion. The entrance was located on the northern side of the pyramid and it is thought that there were six doorways to the funerary chamber. The burial chamber of Neith is thought to have been composed of two elements, the sarcophagus and the canopic jars. Neith's mummy was discovered with a beautiful gilded mask, and her funerary apparel had inscriptions of the spell of the four sons of Horus. The interior of the pyramid was decorated with reliefs. These included hieroglyphic texts and scenes of divine figures, as well as a representation of Neith as a goddess. Neith's pyramid is still a place of archaeological interest. In 2006, a geophysical survey of the pyramid revealed the existence of an underground complex that was likely made of two distinct rooms.
